RESPONSIBILITIES
Your role will actively lead the Data Operations Team, in installing and maintaining on-premises and cloud applications, servers, storage, network equipment, and our Product Administration. The position reports to the Technology Department Head and will be expected to plan, install, configure, and manage all aspects of IT infrastructure and Product Administration to ensure reliable, secure, and cost-effective delivery of services.
- Lead the Realtime Solutions team in designing and implementing cutting-edge real-time data solutions.
- Collaborate with Data Ops and Data Engineering teams to ensure seamless integration of real-time solutions.
- Stay updated on emerging technologies related to real-time data processing and recommend their adoption.
- Provide technical guidance and mentorship to the team members.
- Collaborate with clients to understand their real-time data needs and tailor solutions accordingly.
- Have strong knowledge and experience of Data Streaming and Micro Services technology.
- Have strong knowledge and experience with REST API and GraphQL API technology.
- Have strong knowledge and experience with CDC technology and processes.
- Have strong knowledge and experience with Java and Python for building real-time data applications.
- Understand modules of Kafka, from Producer to Consumer, from Connector to Schema Registry, from ksqlDB to REST Proxy.
- Provides technical direction in area of specialty on real-time products (Confluent, Hasura, and Qlik).
- Assess and recommend tools, technical stack, and processes for optimal product delivery.
QUALIFICATIONS
- Bachelor / Master’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Software Engineering, or related field.
- 5+ years of proven experience as a Kafka Developer or Kafka Engineer, or as an Application Integration developer, or as an IT DevOps Engineer.
- Certifications in Kafka, Confluent, Qlik Replicate, GraphQL, or others are a plus.
- Familiarity with cloud computing environments such as AWS or GCP.
- Required to be involved in the architecture, design & development of a distributed messaging system/streaming platform.
- Able to design, build, and maintain Kafka cluster.
- Help educate teams on Kafka standard practices.
- Able to contribute to the tuning and architecture with a strong understanding of related Kafka Connect and Linux fundamentals.
- Have experience performing upgrades for the Kafka Platform.
- Have experience implementing standard security practices for securing the Kafka platform.
- Have fundamental knowledge of Application Integration development, using API and GraphQL.
- Effective communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with technical and non-technical stakeholders.
- Have strong organizational and leadership skills, with a proven history of continually growing and motivating teams.
